Missing Person Benito Rosato Found Safe After Search Effort in Newcastle, Police Confirm

Newcastle, Newry, Mourne & Down – The police have confirmed that Benito Rosato, a 20-year-old who was reported missing early this morning, has been found safe. Rosato, who resides in Belfast, was last seen at around 1:00 AM on Bryansford Avenue in Newcastle on August 12, 2024.

Benito Rosato was described as being approximately 5’8" in height with a thin build and light brown, short, straight hair. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a white shirt and denim jeans but was not wearing any shoes.

After an urgent appeal was issued by the Newry, Mourne & Down Police, the community and authorities worked together to locate Benito. The police have expressed their gratitude to everyone involved in the search effort.

Treasa Rosato, Benito’s mother, also expressed her thanks on social media, stating, "Thank you to all who helped find my big son."

The rapid and collaborative response from both the public and law enforcement highlights the community’s commitment to ensuring the safety of its members.
