Montgomery County Police Seek Public Assistance in Search for Missing 25-Year-Old Desteni Taliaferro from Germantown

Montgomery County, Maryland – The Montgomery County Department of Police is requesting public assistance in locating Desteni Taliaferro, a 25-year-old woman who has been missing from Germantown since Friday, August 16, 2024. Desteni was last seen at approximately 9 a.m. in the 12000 block of Panthers Ridge Drive.

According to the police report, Desteni Taliaferro is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 125 pounds, with brown eyes and distinctive orange hair. She was last seen wearing a jean jacket with fur on the collar and black shorts. The circumstances of her disappearance are unclear, and her family and friends are deeply concerned for her safety.

The Montgomery County Police Department’s 5th District Investigative Section is leading the search and has urged anyone with information about Desteni’s whereabouts to contact their non-emergency line at (301) 279-8000, which operates 24 hours a day.

In a show of community concern, people have taken to social media to express their hopes for Desteni’s safe return. Trish Poulos, a member of the community, commented on Facebook, "Pls find her safe," reflecting the widespread worry among those who know her.

The Montgomery County Police Department also shared a post on Facebook, highlighting the urgency of the situation and asking for the public’s help in locating Desteni. The post has been widely circulated, with many in the community sharing it in hopes of bringing her home safely.

As the search continues, the community remains on high alert, hoping for any information that could lead to Desteni Taliaferro’s safe return.
