Montreal Mourns the Loss of Codey Daly, Foodtastic Director of Operations, Following Tragic Boating Accident

Montreal, Quebec – The community is grieving the loss of Codey Daly, a prominent figure in the restaurant and hospitality industry, who tragically passed away following a boating accident earlier this week. Daly, who served as the Director of Operations for Foodtastic, died from injuries sustained in the incident. Further details about the accident have yet to be released.

Codey Daly had a distinguished career, beginning as a Manager at Resto Bar Camelia in 2012, and quickly rose through the ranks in the hospitality industry. Over the years, Daly held various leadership roles, including Food & Beverage Manager at NAV CENTRE, Maitre D’Hotel at Château Vaudreuil Hôtel & Suites, and General Manager at Chateau Du Lac. His commitment to excellence and customer service earned him a reputation as a dynamic leader.

In 2018, Daly co-owned La Belle et La Boeuf, a popular restaurant known for its unique dining concept. His entrepreneurial spirit continued to shine as he became a co-owner of Rôtisseries Au Coq, Tommy Cafe, and La Belle et La Boeuf in 2021. By 2022, Daly had been promoted to Director of Operations at Foodtastic, overseeing the strategic direction and operational performance of the company’s restaurant brands.

In addition to his professional achievements, Daly was remembered fondly by friends and colleagues. James Gray, a close friend, shared on Facebook, “RIP my childhood friend Codey Daly. I still remember the season we both got 14 interceptions each; we shared great memories on and off the field. My sincere condolences go out to your loved ones. Peace, homie.”

Another friend, Sean Lemieux, added, “Rip Cody, my condolences.” The posts reflect the deep connection Daly had with those around him, both personally and professionally.
