Navajo Community Relieved as Missing 14-Year-Old Taylan Manygoats Found Safe

Navajo, New Mexico – The Navajo community can breathe a sigh of relief as 14-year-old Taylan Manygoats, who had been reported missing since August 2, 2024, has been found safe. Taylan was last seen in the Navajo Pine Teacher Housing area in Navajo, New Mexico, sparking concerns throughout the community and beyond.

Taylan, described as 5’8’’ tall with brown eyes and black hair, was last seen wearing a gray Caterpillar sweatshirt, blue joggers, and grey shoes. It was believed that he might be traveling to Minnesota with his father, Dominick Manygoats, in a maroon 4-door 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 with Arizona license plate RGA6SC.

The search for Taylan involved multiple community members and the Navajo Police Department, who worked tirelessly to locate him. On August 8, 2024, the Navajo Police Department confirmed that Taylan had been found safe, and the flyer regarding his disappearance was updated to reflect this positive outcome.

Brenda Louis, a community member, expressed her relief on Facebook, saying, "So grateful he’s been found." Her sentiment was echoed by many others who had followed the case closely.

The discovery of Taylan safe brings closure to a distressing week for his family and the community. The Navajo Police Department continues to encourage the public to remain vigilant and report any information regarding missing persons.

This case highlights the importance of community vigilance and the effectiveness of coordinated efforts between law enforcement and the public in ensuring the safety of vulnerable individuals.
