Greene County, Arkansas – A devastating two-vehicle crash on Sunday, August 18, 2024, claimed the life of 44-year-old Austin Dollar from Rector, Arkansas. The incident occurred on US Highway 49 as Dollar attempted to pull onto the shoulder of the road. His vehicle was struck from behind by a 1998 Dodge, forcing it off the road and into a ditch, according to the Arkansas State Police.
The crash, which happened at approximately 4:56 p.m., resulted in fatal injuries for Dollar. A juvenile passenger in his vehicle was also injured and transported to NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. The condition of the child has not been disclosed.
