Oceanside Police Department Launches Search for Missing 75-Year-Old Janet Blackwell, Oceanside Community Shares Concerns

Oceanside, CA — The Oceanside Police Department is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating 75-year-old Janet Blackwell, a Hispanic female who suffers from dementia. Janet was last seen in the 1000 block of Eliot Street, wearing a white hoodie, black leggings, and carrying a blue purse. She was also using a walker at the time of her disappearance.

Authorities have classified Janet Blackwell as a "Missing Person at Risk" due to her medical condition, which heightens the urgency of the search. Residents are encouraged to call 9-1-1 immediately if they have any information about her whereabouts.

The local community has expressed their concerns on social media, with many people sharing their thoughts and prayers for Janet’s safe return.

Lina Karolina commented on Facebook, "Heartbreaking, rest in peace," while Shirlene Gustafson added, "I heard the helicopter this afternoon. Did they find her?" Caren Kyle offered her support, saying, "Prayers she is found safe."

As the search continues, the Oceanside Police Department is relying on the community’s vigilance and cooperation. Anyone who may have seen Janet or has any relevant information is urged to come forward to aid in the efforts to bring her home safely.
