Omobayomije Fasheun, 46-Year-Old Motorcyclist from Pickaway County, Tragically Killed in Columbus Crash

Columbus, Ohio – Omobayomije Fasheun, a 46-year-old motorcyclist from Orient in Pickaway County, tragically lost his life in a fatal collision on Monday evening. The incident occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. near the intersection of North High Street and West Kelso Road on the North Side of Columbus.

Fasheun was riding his 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound when it was struck by a 1995 Jeep Cherokee driven by 64-year-old Andrew Ian McNulty of Clintonville. The force of the collision ejected Fasheun from his motorcycle, causing him severe injuries. Emergency medical personnel rushed him to Ohio Health Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:30 p.m.

According to Columbus police, McNulty fled the scene immediately after the crash. However, police were able to locate and arrest him a short time later. McNulty is currently facing a third-degree felony charge for failing to stop after an accident that resulted in death. His arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday morning at Franklin County Municipal Court.

The Columbus Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances leading up to this tragic event. The family of Omobayomije Fasheun is expected to release details about his funeral arrangements in the coming days.
