Dallas, Texas – The search for 88-year-old Myrtle Polk, a longtime resident of Oak Cliff, Dallas, has entered its third month, with no significant leads on her whereabouts. Mrs. Polk was last seen on June 8, and despite extensive search efforts by her family, friends, and local authorities, her location remains unknown.
Myrtle Polk’s disappearance has deeply impacted the Oak Cliff community. Her son, Philip Polk, along with his wife, traveled from Atlanta in June to spearhead the search efforts. They have been coordinating with volunteers and the Dallas Police Department from Myrtle’s home in the Singing Hills neighborhood. Despite the extensive search, neither Myrtle nor her 2004 Lexus ES 330 sedan has been found.
Myrtle’s cell phone was left behind at her home, and there has been no activity in her bank accounts since her disappearance, further deepening concerns about her safety.
State Senator Royce West also expressed his concern on social media, urging the community to continue sharing information in the hope of locating Mrs. Polk. He posted, "Mrs. Myrtle Polk is still missing. Our efforts have not stopped. Please share."
As the community rallies together in the search, the hope remains that Myrtle Polk will be found safe. The family and community are holding on to that hope, even as the days continue to pass without answers.
