Paul Peavey Found Dead in Idaho Springs, Colorado, After Being Reported Missing; Community Expresses Outrage and Grief

Idaho Springs, Colorado – The tragic death of Paul Peavey, a 60-year-old resident of Idaho Springs, has left the community in shock and mourning. Peavey was found deceased on Saturday evening, with authorities now treating his death as a homicide. His body was discovered in the 1000 block of Two Brothers Road, a location that had been the center of a missing person investigation earlier in the day.

Peavey was initially reported missing by concerned friends who noted that multiple valuables were missing from his property, including 13 Doberman puppies. The Clear Creek Sheriff’s Office confirmed late Saturday night that Peavey, the subject of the missing person report, had been found dead, turning the investigation into a homicide case.

The sheriff’s office has stated that there is no immediate threat to the public, but no suspects have been identified at this time, leaving the community anxious and seeking answers.

The news of Peavey’s death has prompted a wave of reactions on social media, with many expressing their grief and frustration.

Nicollette Ortega shared, "That is tragic. I’m sorry for your loss. I hope you guys find the person/people that did this."

Megan Braun commented, "This is heartbreaking!! I’m so so sorry. And I hope they recover those puppies too. Ugh."

Marjo Sullivan voiced the community’s concerns, stating, "We are in danger until the person or persons responsible are found."

Others, like Bella Donna, have raised concerns about local law enforcement’s involvement, writing, "Police corruption runs rampant there along with meth (definitely in Central City). Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re involved and that’s why the community had to conduct the search party."

Thea Richard echoed the sentiment of many, saying, "That’s tragic. I hope they can determine who killed the man. Look for people selling Doberman puppies nationwide."

The outpouring of emotions and the critical comments highlight the community’s distrust and disappointment with the handling of the case. Many, like Jeff Larson, pointed to broader issues, "Keep voting democrat and the police will do less and less. Remember the whole defund the police?"

As the investigation continues, the community of Idaho Springs remains on edge, hoping for justice for Paul Peavey and the safe recovery of the missing puppies. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
