Pawtucket, RI – The community is mourning the unexpected passing of Nicholas Justyn Souza, who tragically died on Monday, August 26th. Nick, as he was affectionately known, was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose warm personality and adventurous spirit touched the lives of many.
Nick passed away due to natural causes, as concluded by the medical team that worked tirelessly on him. His passing has left a significant void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, especially his mother, Fernanda Moreira Leandres, and his two brothers, Corey Souza and Nick Mota.
To help cover the unexpected expenses and funeral costs, Nick’s family has organized a fundraiser. The effort is being led by his brother, Corey Souza, alongside Breanna Whetstone and Fernanda Leandres. The goal is to raise $12,000, and so far, $450 has been contributed by six donors.
The family has expressed their deep gratitude for any support provided during this challenging time. Nick will be remembered for his ability to bring smiles to those around him, his protective nature, and his love for trying new things.
As the family prepares to lay Nick to rest, they invite the community to join them in prayer and remembrance, drawing strength from their faith in Jesus Christ.
