Phoenix Community Mourns the Loss of Veteran Marco Arturo Cota as Family Seeks Support for Funeral Service

Phoenix, AZ – The community is mourning the sudden passing of Marco Arturo Cota, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and proud veteran, who died on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Marco had recently been in a nursing home where he suffered a fall, requiring 13 stitches. Unfortunately, his health deteriorated rapidly after the incident, leading to his unexpected death.

The family, still reeling from the shock, has expressed that they were not prepared for his sudden departure. While the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will cover his burial, they do not provide for the funeral service expenses. The family wishes to honor Marco with a service that truly reflects the love and significance he held in their lives.

Breanne Robles, one of Marco’s loved ones, has organized a fundraiser to help cover the costs of his funeral service. The goal is to raise $4,000, and the family is reaching out to the community for support during this difficult time. As of today, the fundraiser is still seeking contributions to ensure Marco receives the farewell he deserves.

On social media, friends and family have expressed their condolences and shared their grief over Marco’s passing. Sandra Gonzales wrote, "My Condolences Prima Deanna Cota For You and Your Family." Andrea Sahuaqui added, "My condolences. Prayers for you and your family!" Others, like Eulalia Martinez, shared similar sentiments, saying, "My condolences to you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time."

The community’s outpouring of love and support highlights the deep impact Marco had on those around him. As his family navigates this challenging period, they remain grateful for the kindness and support shown by those who have reached out.

Marco Arturo Cota’s legacy as a veteran and a cherished family member lives on, and the community’s efforts to honor his memory reflect the profound love they have for him. The fundraiser organized by Breanne Robles continues to welcome contributions to give Marco the respectful and loving farewell he deserves.
