Pinellas County Authorities Seek Public’s Help in Locating Missing Veteran Jason Christensen

St. Petersburg, Florida – The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating Jason Christensen, a 43-year-old man who has been reported missing by his family. Christensen was last seen on Friday, August 16, 2024, leaving the Bay Pines VA Hospital in St. Petersburg on foot. He reportedly mentioned possibly heading to the beach before he disappeared.

Christensen, described as approximately 5’08" tall and weighing around 175 pounds, was reported missing on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at about 2:00 p.m. Authorities consider him missing and endangered, and the community is urged to be on the lookout.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office has asked anyone with information on Christensen’s whereabouts to contact Corporal Creaser at 727-582-6200.

The news of Christensen’s disappearance has drawn concern from the community, with many taking to social media to express their hopes for his safe return. Jessica McConnell posted, "Praying he is found safe," while Irene Wright shared similar sentiments, writing, "Prayers he’s found safe." Jessi Perdue noted, "Guy looks sad," reflecting the concern many feel for Christensen’s well-being. Others, like Dan Hogan, simply expressed, "Hope he is ok."

As the search continues, the community’s support and vigilance are crucial in helping bring Jason Christensen home safely.
