Alamo, Texas – Raul Cantu Jr. was tragically killed in a shooting outside a McDonald’s in Alamo on August 20, 2024. Authorities have charged 31-year-old Carlos Alfredo Rivera Jasso, linked to the Tri-City Bombers gang, with murder. The fatal shooting is believed to be related to gang and drug activities, with Rivera allegedly initiating the confrontation before another suspect, Alberto Medina, fired the fatal shot.
Cantu was a beloved family member and friend, known for spending quality time with his son, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. His family is now seeking help from the community to cover funeral expenses, aiming to raise $4,600 to give Raul the memorial he deserves.
Jeanne Moralez, a relative of Raul, expressed the family’s grief and appeal for assistance on Facebook. "We want to give my cousin Raul Cantu Jr the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes. We are so very grateful for every donation during this difficult time," Moralez wrote.
Friends and family have shared their condolences on social media. Esmer Guajardo commented, “Really awww my condolences to you and the whole family. I’m really sorry for your loss.”
