Reitz High School Community Mourns the Loss of Senior Caleb Townsend, Evansville, Indiana

Evansville, Indiana – The Reitz High School community is grieving the unexpected loss of Caleb Townsend, a beloved senior who passed away last night. Caleb, a valued member of the Class of 2024, was known for his kindness, dedication, and the positive influence he had on his peers and school community. His passing has left a significant void in the hearts of those who knew him.

In response to this tragic news, Reitz High School has announced that additional counseling staff will be available to support students during this difficult time. The school emphasized that these services will remain available for as long as necessary to help students cope with the loss of their classmate. "Please keep his family in your thoughts during this very difficult time," the school stated in a release.

Tributes have been pouring in on social media, reflecting the deep sorrow felt by those who knew Caleb. Fate Nova, a friend and classmate, shared, "We lost a good man yesterday. I met him in 8th grade at Helfrich Park, and it’s hard to find the right words to express the loss."
