River Edge Authorities Issue Silver Alert for Missing Seniors Margo Nelson and Gail Soehnlein

River Edge, New Jersey – The River Edge Police Department, in collaboration with the New Jersey State Police, has issued a silver alert for two missing seniors, Margo Nelson and Gail Soehnlein, both born on November 24, 1941. The alert was triggered when the two women, both suffering from significant health conditions, went missing from their residence at 917 Bogert Road on the morning of August 19, 2024.

Margo Nelson suffers from dementia, while Gail Soehnlein has a heart condition and early onset dementia. The two women left their home together around 7:30 AM and did not take their essential medications with them. Gail Soehnlein, who was driving, is believed to be operating a 2007 Gray Hyundai Elantra with New Jersey registration WDB38B.

The River Edge community has expressed deep concern over the disappearance of the two women. Facebook posts from residents highlight the worry and prayers circulating among those who know them.

Kathy Spencer Barnabi commented, "They look like sisters! Praying they find them," echoing the sentiments of many in the community. John Malool noted the shared birthday of the two women, speculating they might be twins. Claire Phelan Holloway added, "Please find them safe," while Claire Beaugard Massaro offered her prayers, saying, "God Bless."

The police urge anyone who sees the two women or their vehicle to contact 9-1-1 immediately. The search for Margo Nelson and Gail Soehnlein continues, with the community and authorities working together in hopes of their safe return.
