Western Cape, South Africa – Robert Schroder, a 58-year-old man, has been reported missing after he was last seen at the Louvain Burn event, just outside Oudtshoorn, on Sunday. Schroder, who is described as 1.8 meters tall with long, curly grey hair and weighing approximately 100 kg, has not been seen since, and his tent and gear were found left behind at the event site.
The search efforts by local authorities and search and rescue teams have so far been unsuccessful, leading the South African Police Service (SAPS) to take over the investigation. There have been unconfirmed sightings of Robert in De Rust, which has prompted an urgent appeal for information from the public.
Friends and community members have taken to social media to raise awareness about Schroder’s disappearance. Thomene Boshoff posted, "Has anyone seen Robert Schroder? He was last seen on Sunday at the Louvain Burn just outside Oudtshoorn and was possibly seen today in De Rust. Please share far and wide!"
Mikey Dredd, another concerned friend, expressed his worry by saying, "Hope they find him. He is a really cool dude."
Anyone with information regarding Robert Schroder’s whereabouts is urged to contact Davina Mabel Hall at 082 837 7877 or Paul Holmes at 072 189 0976. The community is asked to remain vigilant and share this message widely to aid in the search efforts.
