Evansville, Indiana – Ronald Wayne Clark, a cherished resident of Evansville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on his seventy-fifth birthday, August 20, 2024, after a brief illness. Born in Garnerville, near Carmi, Illinois, Ron lived a life filled with service, joy, and deep connections, leaving behind a legacy that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Ron was a man of many talents and passions. After graduating from Eldorado High School, he served in the U.S. Navy as a parachute rigger, a role that shaped his sense of duty and commitment. He later earned a degree in economics from Southern Illinois University, reflecting his dedication to lifelong learning.

Outside of his professional achievements, Ron was known for his love of bowling, golfing, and farming. On the golf course, he was affectionately called “Moosey” by his many friends. His humor and playful spirit, particularly when sharing a joke with his brother or teasing his nieces and nephew, made him a beloved figure among his family and friends.

Ron was deeply devoted to his family. He was a loving husband to his late wife, Joyce Clark, and a proud father to his late son, Garrett Clark. His granddaughters, Annie and Abby Clark, whom he lovingly referred to as “the sugies,” were the light of his life. He cherished every moment spent with them, taking immense pride in their achievements.

Following his wishes, Ron’s remains will be scattered privately in places that held special meaning to him. Though he is no longer with us, the memories of his kindness, humor, and love will continue to bring comfort to those who were fortunate enough to know him.
