Boston, Massachusetts – The Boston Police Department has identified 38-year-old Jashun Cooley of Roxbury as the victim in a fatal shooting that took place in Dorchester on Saturday, August 24, 2024. The incident occurred at approximately 9:58 PM in the area of 159 Washington Street.
Officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a report of a person shot at the location. Upon arrival, they found Cooley suffering from gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite medical efforts, Cooley was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
