Sacramento Community Prays for Safe Return of Raymond Ray Puppolo, Missing Alzheimer’s Patient from Rancho Cordova

Rancho Cordova, California – The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office has issued an urgent alert for Raymond “Ray” Puppolo, a 77-year-old man diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, who was reported missing on the evening of August 16, 2024. Ray was last seen around 10 AM at his residence near Old Placerville Road and Granby Road in Rancho Cordova. He was wearing a hat, a gray zip-up hoodie, and dark-colored sweatpants when he disappeared.

Ray’s family and the local community are deeply concerned for his safety due to his Alzheimer’s condition, which puts him at higher risk. His daughter, Alise Puppolo, expressed her distress on Facebook, writing, “Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Rancho Cordova PD this is my father!! Please find him safely!”

Friends and family have taken to social media to share their prayers and support. Emily Teasdale Mathurin, Ray’s cousin, posted, “Praying they find my cousin Ray safe. I love you.” Another family member, Mary Booth, added, “Positive thoughts and prayers for a safe return.”

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office and Rancho Cordova PD are actively searching for Ray and urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them immediately at 916-874-5115. The community continues to rally in hopes of Ray’s safe return.
