Search Continues for Missing Kayaker Dale Christopherson in Des Moines, WA

Des Moines, WA – Authorities and community members are intensifying their search efforts for 67-year-old Dale Christopherson, who went missing on August 8, 2024, after kayaking from the Des Moines Marina. Dale was last seen wearing a long-sleeved shirt over a grey t-shirt, shorts, and a baseball cap. The kayak was found the next morning at Redondo Park, but Dale remains missing.

Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound is urging anyone with information on Dale’s whereabouts to come forward. Tips can be reported anonymously through the P3 Tips App or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS. Rewards of up to $1,000 are being offered for information leading to an arrest or charges related to this case.

The Des Moines Police Department, responsible for the investigation, has provided updates, with spokesperson Patti G confirming that Dale was not wearing a life preserver at the time of his disappearance. The community remains hopeful, sharing thoughts and prayers on social media for his safe return.

As the search continues, the Des Moines community is rallying together, hoping for any information that might bring Dale back home safely.
