Search for Missing 49-Year-Old David Sylvester Mobley Intensifies in Greensboro, North Carolina

Greensboro, NC – The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office continues its search for David Sylvester Mobley, a 49-year-old man who was last seen in either February or March of 2024. Mobley, a Black male standing 5’5" and weighing approximately 115 pounds, has been missing for several months, leaving the community concerned and desperate for answers.

Mobley was last seen possibly wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, and a snapback hat. He is known to frequent several areas in Greensboro, including US 29, Bessmer Ave., Summit Ave., Landerwood Dr., Freeman Mill Rd., McConnell Rd., and Memphis St. His daughter’s name, Samiya, is notably tattooed on one of his forearms in Chinese or Arabic.

The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office has been actively searching for Mobley and has urged anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact Detective J.M. Allen at 336-641-2799 or Guilford County Crime Stoppers at 336-373-1000.

Community members have taken to Facebook to share their thoughts and spread awareness about Mobley’s disappearance. The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office also expressed gratitude for the continued support and urged the public to keep sharing information to help locate Mobley.

The search continues as authorities and loved ones hope for a safe return.
