Search Intensifies for Missing 27-Year-Old Dakota Lanahan in Palmer, Alaska

Palmer, Alaska – The search for 27-year-old Dakota Lanahan, a resident of Palmer, has intensified after he was reported missing on August 19, 2024. Lanahan, who was last seen or heard from on August 13, 2024, has not been located since. The Alaska State Troopers have been involved in the search, but details regarding his clothing or last known whereabouts remain unclear.

Lanahan, who has gone missing twice before, was previously listed under a Silver Alert due to at-risk medical conditions. This time, however, no specific information about his condition has been disclosed. The Alaska Solstice Search Dogs (AKSSD) have been actively participating in the search efforts, as reported by their Facebook page.

Community members have taken to social media to express their concern and share memories of Lanahan. On Facebook, AKSSD posted, "Anyone with information related to Lanahan’s whereabouts is urged to contact Troopers."

The search continues, and the local community remains hopeful for Lanahan’s safe return. The Alaska State Troopers urge anyone with information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
