Hernando County, Florida – The search for 74-year-old David Lamar Brown, who has been missing for three days, continues with urgency as the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with multiple agencies, combs through the area near Batten Road. Despite extensive search efforts, including organized grid searches, K-9 units, drones, and aviation, Mr. Brown has not yet been located.
David Lamar Brown was last seen on Tuesday near the area between Deerfly Road and Family Lane. He was reported missing after wandering off from his home, and concerns for his safety have grown as the search enters its third day. The Sheriff’s Office has asked residents in the area to remain vigilant and call 9-1-1 if they spot an elderly male wearing a white striped T-shirt, dark-colored shorts, and socks without shoes.
The local community has rallied around Mr. Brown and his family, sharing their thoughts and prayers on social media. Margaret Maurer expressed, "I have been praying for Mr. Brown and his family, and all who are doing their best to find him. I pray God protects all of you and Mr. Brown while you all are doing your best to bring him home."
