Search Intensifies for Missing Tallahassee Teen Dylan Scott Marcum-Odell

Tallahassee, Florida – Authorities are urgently searching for Dylan Scott Marcum-Odell, a 16-year-old who has been missing since August 22, 2024. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office has classified Dylan as "missing and endangered" and is appealing to the public for any information that could help locate him.

Dylan was last seen in Tallahassee, Florida, and is described as a white male, standing approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing around 192 pounds, with curly, shaggy blond hair. He may have been wearing a black and white NASCAR coat, a ball cap, jeans, and boots at the time of his disappearance. He has a fox racing brand tattoo on his left arm and a compass tattoo on the left side of his back.

The urgency of the search is underscored by the emotional responses from the community. Many have taken to social media to express their concern and offer prayers for Dylan’s safe return. Charl DeMarco posted, “Prayers that he is safe & is found,” while Johnny Lewis added, “Praying for a safe find.” Other community members, like Judy Castaneda and Tammy Michelle, also shared their hopes, with Judy saying, “Pray they find him safe!” and Tammy simply posting, “Prayers.”

Diana Grace expressed her concern by invoking faith, writing, “In Jesus name,” and Dolly Knight Morovich shared, “Lord Jesus Christ please let him be found safe and sound.” Other posts reflected frustration and worry, with Melisa Triplett asking, “Did he run away or went missing? Looks like the same young man that was in court last week. If so I’m praying for this young man I really felt bad for him in court alone.” In a more critical tone, Teddy Jackson commented, “It’s crazy how when white people go missing, the whole world stops but if a person of color goes missing, life keeps going on like nothing happened smh.”

The community’s outpouring of support highlights the collective concern for Dylan’s safety. Authorities urge anyone with information about Dylan Scott Marcum-Odell’s whereabouts to contact the Leon County Sheriff’s Office at 850-606-5800 immediately. The family and law enforcement officials remain hopeful that Dylan will be found safe and returned to his loved ones.
