Search Intensifies for Missing Woman Anntonia Rae French in South Minneapolis, Minnesota, as Family Pleads for Help

South Minneapolis, Minnesota – The search for 21-year-old Anntonia Rae French, who goes by "Tonia," has intensified as her family and friends continue to plead for help. Tonia, a Native American woman, was last heard from on August 6, 2024, when she called her mother from South Minneapolis. During the call, she was crying and afraid, mentioning her need for immediate medical attention due to a rare artery condition.

The phone call, which took place around 6:00 p.m., ended abruptly as Tonia said she was planning to walk to the train station with friends. However, she never arrived, and that was the last time anyone heard from her.

Carm Monroe, a family friend, shared a post on Facebook detailing Tonia’s disappearance and urging anyone with information to contact the Hennepin County police. The post, which has been widely shared, highlights the urgency of the situation, noting Tonia’s critical health condition.

Margaret Jordan, another Facebook user, expressed her concern, stating, "Hope she calls you again, Carmen." Meanwhile, Shawna Jean inquired if Tonia still had access to a phone, offering to help by adding phone time to ensure she could reach out.

Tonia’s disappearance has drawn the attention of the community, with people offering assistance and sharing the missing person report across social media platforms. The Hennepin County police are actively investigating the case, and anyone with information is urged to come forward.

The situation remains dire as Tonia’s family and friends continue to hope for her safe return.
