Louisville, KY — Shantell Potter Sr., a 41-year-old resident of Louisville, was tragically killed in a shooting that took place on Wednesday evening in the city’s Russell neighborhood.
The incident occurred around 5:20 p.m. in the 1000 block of Esquire Alley, directly across from the TARC headquarters. The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) responded to reports of the shooting and found Potter with multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The coroner pronounced Potter dead at 6:26 p.m.
As of now, no suspects have been identified, and the LMPD Homicide Unit is actively investigating the case. Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in gathering information that could lead to the apprehension of those responsible.
