Spencer Deon Gripp Dies in Tragic North Charlotte Motorcycle Crash on Parkwood Avenue

Charlotte, North Carolina – Spencer Deon Gripp, 28, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle crash that occurred on Saturday afternoon in North Charlotte. The accident took place around 3 p.m. on the 900 block of Parkwood Avenue, leading to the road being closed between Siegel Avenue and Allen Street.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found a severely damaged 2008 Honda CBR motorcycle and an unresponsive rider, later identified as Spencer Deon Gripp. Nearby, a 2017 Nissan Rogue was also discovered with damage, but the driver and a passenger in the vehicle were unharmed.

Preliminary investigations by Charlotte police indicate that Gripp was traveling eastbound on Parkwood Avenue at a high speed. The accident happened when he collided with the rear left side of the Nissan Rogue, which was crossing Parkwood Avenue from Harrill Street. The impact of the collision caused Gripp to be thrown from his motorcycle, leading to his untimely death at the scene.

Gripp’s family has been notified, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
