St. Louis Woman Taryn Rose, Her Daughter, and Mother Seriously Injured in High-Speed Car Accident on August 14, Community Rallies for Support

St. Louis, Missouri – Taryn Rose, a resident of St. Louis, Missouri, was involved in a devastating car accident on August 14 that also injured her 8-year-old daughter, Gracie, and her mother, Barb. The collision occurred when their vehicle was struck by another car traveling at over 80 miles per hour, resulting in severe injuries to all three victims.

According to reports, Gracie has suffered life-altering injuries, including a fractured neck that has left her paralyzed from the jawline downward. She is currently unable to breathe on her own and requires a ventilator. Additionally, Gracie has experienced kidney failure, fluid in her lungs, and a fractured pelvis. Her condition is critical, and she will need round-the-clock care for the rest of her life, including a feeding tube.

Barb, Taryn’s mother, also remains hospitalized with serious injuries. She has undergone surgery for a broken hip and spinal injuries, which have left her paralyzed from the chest down. Barb faces a long and challenging recovery, with limited control over her arms and a prolonged rehabilitation process ahead.

Taryn Rose sustained multiple injuries in the accident, including a broken rib, fluid around her heart, and a spinal fracture. Although she has been discharged from the hospital, Taryn is focusing on her family’s recovery and staying by her daughter’s side.

In the wake of this tragedy, Angie McBride has organized a GoFundMe campaign to support Taryn, Gracie, and Barb. The funds will help cover the extensive medical costs, rehabilitation, and necessary home modifications to accommodate Gracie’s needs. Taryn, who is unable to work while caring for her family, will soon exhaust her paid leave, making financial support critical during this difficult time.

The community has shown an outpouring of support, sharing the family’s story and encouraging donations. Jenny Hodges, a close friend of Taryn, expressed her gratitude on Facebook, stating, "Words cannot express my feelings of gratitude today. The power of social media is unbelievable. Huge heartfelt thank you for sharing this GoFundMe & your generous donations from strangers, friends & family."

Others have also shared their thoughts and prayers for the family. Monica Bledsoe commented, "My heart breaks for all of them, I will keep them in my prayers and I’m definitely sharing the GoFundMe." Jamie Carter Walker added, "This is absolutely tragic!! I’m so very sorry this has happened! I can’t even imagine! Praying for a miracle!!!"

The road to recovery for Taryn, Gracie, and Barb is long and uncertain, but the community’s support provides a glimmer of hope in this heartbreaking situation. Any contribution to their GoFundMe campaign will be greatly appreciated as they navigate the challenges ahead.
