Tarrant County Sheriff’s Deputy Shot Three Times While Serving Warrant in Haltom City, Says Judge Tim O’Hare

Haltom City, Texas – A Tarrant County sheriff’s deputy was seriously wounded on Wednesday while serving a warrant in Haltom City. The incident led to a tense standoff with the armed suspect. The deputy, whose name has not been released, was shot three times but his injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening, according to Tarrant County Judge Tim O’Hare.

The shooting occurred on North Beach Street, prompting a significant police response. Authorities, including deputies from the Fort Worth Fire, Fort Worth Police, and Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, have established a substantial presence in the area. Residents near Chesser Boyer Road and 28th Street have been advised to shelter in place as officers continue to manage the situation.

The suspect involved in the shooting is now in police custody and is reported to be injured. The Haltom City Police Department has emphasized that the scene remains active and has urged people to avoid the area.

Judge O’Hare addressed the public via social media, stating, "This is another stark reminder of the dangers faced and sacrifices made by the law enforcement community on a daily basis to keep all of us safe." He also called for prayers and positive thoughts for the deputy’s recovery.

Carie Morgan, a community member, commented, "God bless him, pray for a fast recovery."
