Tawina Westbrook, Missing from West Point, Found Safe After Widespread Search and Concern

West Point, Mississippi – The search for 5’3" Tawina Westbrook, who had been reported missing by her grandmother, has ended with relief as she has been located safely. The West Point Police Department initially alerted the public on August 15, 2024, at 10:45 p.m., after Ms. Westbrook could not be reached by her grandmother. Tawina was last seen on August 15, around 10:05 a.m., leaving the 200 block of Grove Street in an ambulance headed to the hospital.

Despite the initial alarm, many expressed their concern and confusion on social media regarding how she could go missing after being in an ambulance. Taylor Barnhill questioned, "How did she leave via ambulance and then no info? I’d be consulting the ambulance services." Similarly, CeeRhapsody Cole commented, "Did she make it to the hospital…I’m lost…how did this happen."

The community’s anxiety was palpable, with many residents taking to Facebook to express their worries and hopes for Tawina’s safe return. Denise Denise posted, "Lord we need u right now," while Jannie Mitchell shared her relief, saying, "Thank God she’s ok."

The West Point Police Department has confirmed that Tawina Westbrook has been located, bringing a sense of relief to her family and the community. The details surrounding her brief disappearance remain unclear, but the primary concern—that she has been found safe—has been addressed.
