Tennessee Community Urged to Help Locate Missing 86-Year-Old Veteran Arthur Bruce from Johnson City

Johnson City, Tennessee – A Silver Alert has been issued for 86-year-old Arthur Bruce, a resident of Johnson City, Tennessee, who has been missing since August 11, 2024. Arthur Bruce, a U.S. Navy veteran, was last seen in the area, and authorities are concerned for his safety due to a medical condition that could impair his ability to return home without assistance.

Arthur is described as 5’3" tall, weighing 140 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. He has a distinctive U.S. Navy tattoo on his arm, which may help in identifying him. Authorities believe he may be traveling in a 2024 gray Ford Ranger with Tennessee temporary tags (QH9YN1V8).

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and the Carter County Sheriff’s Office are actively involved in the search. The public is urged to contact the Carter County Sheriff’s Office at 423-542-1845 or TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND if they have any information regarding Arthur’s whereabouts.
