Thamaga Lekate, 21, Missing from Shageng Ward, Letlhakeng – Community Shares Concerns and Pleas on Social Media

Thamaga Lekate, a 21-year-old resident of Shageng ward in Letlhakeng, has been missing since August 9, 2024. The Botswana Police Service has released an alert regarding his disappearance, urging anyone with information to contact the Letlhakeng Police Station or the nearest police station immediately.

Lekate’s disappearance has sparked concern within the community, with many taking to social media to express their distress and hope for his safe return. Kemiso Kemmich Ntshegisang expressed his dismay with a heartfelt "Eishhh," while Ditsebe Dai Mokokwe also shared his concern.

Mira Ajizatulhamid highlighted the gravity of the situation by sharing a link to an amateur video related to the incident, warning others of its graphic content. Shackie Gaolebogwe and Ntombi Nj Mosika also joined in, with Ntombi posting a plea, "Bathong koore okae," reflecting the community’s growing anxiety.

The police are actively searching for Thamaga, and they have urged the public to assist in any way possible. As the search continues, the outpouring of concern on social media underscores the collective hope that Thamaga will be found safe and soon reunited with his loved ones.
