Thermon Gary, an 80-Year-Old Man with Dementia, Found Safe After Being Reported Missing in Lanham, Maryland

Lanham, Maryland – The family of 80-year-old Thermon Gary, who was reported missing early Sunday morning, August 18, 2024, is relieved to announce that he has been found safe. Thermon, who suffers from dementia, was last seen leaving his home in Lanham at 3:00 a.m., driving a blue 2010 Chrysler 300. His family immediately launched a search, sharing his description and vehicle details across social media, urging the community to keep an eye out for him.

Family member DaChar Lane expressed their gratitude on Facebook, writing, "He has been found and he is safe. Thank you all so much for the leads, thoughts, and prayers! My family is so grateful. God is SO good!"

The news of Thermon’s disappearance had deeply concerned the community, with numerous people offering prayers and support. Andrea Bush commented, "Prayers be be found soon," while Cynthia Claiborne added, "Praying for a safe return." The sentiment was echoed by many others, including Shanel Johnson, who posted, "In the name of Jesus I ask you protect him and he be found without any harm or danger. We are thanking you in advance because we know you can and will do it in Jesus mighty name Amen."

Thermon was last seen wearing a blue and white long-sleeve plaid shirt, blue jeans, black dress shoes, and glasses. The family had shared his information with local authorities, including the Prince George’s County Police Department, which assisted in the search.

Thankfully, the coordinated efforts and community support led to a positive outcome, and Thermon is now safe with his family.
