Fallon, Nevada – Todd Anthony Smith, a cherished son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2024, at the age of 62. His passing has left a profound void in the lives of his family and all who knew him. Todd’s final moments were spent surrounded by his loving wife, Lisa Smith, and his devoted son, Braden Smith.
A celebration of Todd’s life is scheduled to take place at Oasis Church on Sunday, August 25, 2024, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Friends, family, and all who were touched by Todd’s kindness and warmth are invited to honor his memory.
Born on March 29, 1962, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Todd was the beloved son of Carol and Bill Smith. He graduated from Woodland High School in 1980 and followed in his father’s footsteps by immersing himself in the world of harness racing, where he trained and raced horses across Indiana and Illinois.
At 25, Todd welcomed his first child, Brittany, and began a long and successful career at Vulcraft in Butler, Indiana. His dedication and passion for the steel joist industry led him to become a production manager at New Millennium Building Systems. Todd retired in January 2024, but his close relationships with colleagues continued to be a significant part of his life.
Todd’s personal interests included traveling, fishing, boating, and tackling various projects around the house. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren. Todd’s warm smile and infectious laughter brightened every room, and he had a unique ability to make everyone feel cherished and loved.
Todd is preceded in death by his father, Bill Smith. He is survived by his mother, Carol Smith, his wife, Lisa Smith, his children Braden, Brock, and Brittany, his stepchildren Jenna Tandberg and Justin Cole, and his beloved grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. His legacy of love, kindness, and joy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Todd Smith will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his life touched countless others with his generosity and spirit.
