Tom Reynolds, Beloved Green Bay Musician and Lakeland High School Alum, Passes Away

Green Bay, WI – Tom Reynolds, a cherished member of the Green Bay community and an alum of Lakeland High School, has passed away on August 27, 2024. Tom’s untimely death has left a significant void among his friends, family, and the local music scene, where he was a well-known figure.

Tom Reynolds was a passionate musician, playing the bass in bands such as Rib Splitter and Vile Disgorgement. His versatility and dedication to music were evident in his involvement with various projects, including Midknight Hockey Punk and Isærn. Beyond performing, Tom made a mark as the owner of Funeral Outhouse Records, through which he supported numerous artists and enriched the local music community.

Tom’s talents extended beyond music. He was also involved in greenhouse growing with Natural Beauty Growers, demonstrating his love for nature and his commitment to nurturing life in various forms.

A graduate of Lakeland High School in Minocqua, Wisconsin, Tom maintained a strong connection to his roots while making a life in Green Bay. His warm personality and ever-present smile made him a beloved friend to many.

Tom’s passing has prompted an outpouring of heartfelt tributes. Jake Kattner, a close friend, shared on Facebook, "Tom, I will miss you greatly… We lost a great man today… Rest in peace, till we meet again… I love you."

Leesa Dobschuetz expressed her condolences, saying, "I’m sorry for your loss, Jake," while Brian Gallagher fondly remembered Tom’s stories about the "Kattner boys" and described him as a "big-hearted cousin."

Friends and acquaintances, including Mike Mair, Garrett Parthum, Lanny Wendland, Matt Texidor, William Glander Jr., Rook Bolin, Daniel Freeland, and Richard Dodson, also extended their condolences, expressing sorrow for the loss of someone so dear.

Tom Reynolds will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His legacy will live on through the music he created, the lives he touched, and the memories he left behind. Rest in peace, Tom.
