Birmingham, Alabama – The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a devastating motorcycle crash that occurred on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, as 31-year-old Kameron Lenorris Tompkins from Pinson. Tompkins tragically lost his life in a two-vehicle collision on Center Point Parkway, near Cheyenne Boulevard.
The accident unfolded around 3:30 p.m. when Tompkins, traveling northbound on Center Point Parkway, attempted to avoid a vehicle that pulled out in front of him. In doing so, he veered into the southbound lanes, where he was struck by a Chevrolet Tahoe. The impact was severe, and Tompkins was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:46 p.m.
The driver of the Chevrolet Tahoe, along with two other individuals, including a juvenile, sustained injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. The extent of their injuries remains unknown at this time.
