Tragic Car Accident Claims the Life of Cody Lee Arrington in Augusta, Georgia

Augusta, Georgia – A single-vehicle crash in the early hours of Wednesday morning has tragically taken the life of 31-year-old Cody Lee Arrington. The fatal accident occurred around 2:05 a.m. on the 4500 block of Old Waynesboro Road in the Hephzibah area of Augusta, GA.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at the scene to find a southbound vehicle that had veered off the roadway and collided with an unknown object. Cody Lee Arrington, who was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:50 a.m. The other occupant of the vehicle, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Wellstar MCG with life-threatening injuries.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause of death, and the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the circumstances leading up to the crash.
