Farafenni, The Gambia – The Dibba family in Farafenni is mourning the tragic death of Dawda Dibba, who passed away in Naples, Italy. Dawda, a beloved member of the Dibba family, was reportedly killed by two young men, aged 17 and 21, last Saturday.
Dawda’s passing has left his family and community devastated. A GoFundMe fundraiser has been launched by Bakary Dibba to help cover the costs of returning Dawda’s body to Farafenni for burial. So far, €50 has been raised out of a €7,000 goal, with the family appealing for more support to bring Dawda home.
In the wake of this tragedy, friends and family have taken to Facebook to express their condolences and prayers for Dawda. Many have shared heartfelt messages, hoping for his peaceful rest and praying for his entry into Jannah.
Jagne Narr expressed the sorrow felt by the entire Dibba family, posting, "It’s a very sad news for the entire family of Dibba Kunda in Farafenni. My cousin brother Dawda Dibba passed away in Italy. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un."
