Tragic Death of Raymond Aabou in France – Popular TPMP Chronicle Raymond Aabou Dies in Scooter Accident

Raymond Aabou, a beloved French TV personality and radio host, tragically passed away following an accident involving his electric scooter and a vehicle on August 3, 2024. Aabou, known for his work as a chronicler on the popular French television show Touche pas à mon poste! (TPMP) and for his segment on Virgin Radio’s morning show La Mission Raymond, was just 48 years old at the time of his passing.

The accident occurred in France, where Aabou was struck by a vehicle while riding his scooter. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, but despite the efforts of medical staff, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Raymond Aabou, born Cyril Aabou in 1977 in Colombes, Île-de-France, was a well-known figure in French media. He began his career as a delivery driver, like his father, before being discovered by Cyril Hanouna, a prominent French TV host. Aabou quickly gained fame for his straightforward and candid commentary on various shows, including TPMP and Touche pas à mon sport! (TPMS). Despite his success in the media, Aabou continued to work as a delivery driver, balancing his job with his on-screen appearances.

Aabou’s untimely death has left his fans and colleagues in shock. Social media platforms, particularly Facebook, have been flooded with messages of condolence. One post by David Caiveau expressed disbelief, saying, "I just learned of the death of #RaymondAabou… Still can’t believe it, you will be missed, you were 1 of the best. Condolences to the family, rest in peace our Raymond, we will miss you badly."

However, the news of his death has also sparked confusion and disbelief among some. Facebook user Fanny Zed initially questioned the authenticity of the news, asking, "Tu es sur que c est pas une Fake news?" (Are you sure this isn’t fake news?). Despite initial doubts, it was confirmed by multiple sources that Aabou had indeed passed away.

Raymond Aabou’s life and career were marked by his dedication to his work and his ability to connect with audiences. His passing is a significant loss to the French media community, and his legacy as a candid and beloved chronicler will be remembered by many.

Funeral arrangements and an official obituary will be released by his family in due course.
