Tragic End to Search for 6-Year-Old Rowan Morey in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan – Community Mourns His Loss

Mt. Pleasant, Michigan – The search for six-year-old Rowan Milford Morey, who went missing earlier this week, has come to a heartbreaking conclusion. Rowan and his father, Michael Steven Winchell, were both found deceased in a camper, as confirmed by local authorities and his grieving mother, Brandi Morey Pols.

Rowan was last seen with his father on Monday, August 19, 2024, in a black extended cab pickup truck towing a white camper. Brandi was scheduled to pick up Rowan that morning but was unable to contact either him or Michael. This led to an intensive search, involving the Isabella County Sheriff’s Office, to locate the missing boy and his father.

The circumstances surrounding their deaths remain under investigation, and authorities have yet to release a formal statement. Rowan’s mother expressed her sorrow to the community, thanking them for their prayers but sharing the tragic news that her son had been found deceased.
