Tragic Hit-and-Run in Chicago Claims the Life of 67-Year-Old James Reedtillman from Evanston

Chicago, Illinois – In a heartbreaking incident late Saturday night, 67-year-old James Reedtillman of Evanston was fatally struck in a hit-and-run accident on Chicago’s North Side. The tragedy occurred around 11:30 p.m. on the 1900 block of West Howard Street when Reedtillman was hit by a black pickup truck while walking.

The driver of the truck fled the scene immediately after the collision, leaving Reedtillman critically injured. Emergency responders transported him to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Chicago police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, with Major Accident detectives working diligently to identify and locate the driver responsible for this fatal hit-and-run. The incident has left the community in shock and mourning as authorities continue to seek justice for Reedtillman.
