Lancaster, PA – The Lancaster County community is reeling from the tragic deaths of Ann M. Sellers, 47, and Kyle Heagy, 22, who were found deceased in a residence on Lincoln Highway East in Ronks on the morning of Wednesday, August 7, 2024. The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that this devastating event was the result of a murder-suicide.
Authorities were dispatched to the scene around 9:00 a.m., where they discovered both individuals had suffered fatal gunshot wounds to the head. The coroner’s office later confirmed that Sellers was the victim of a homicide, while Heagy’s death was ruled a suicide. Investigations revealed that Heagy had shot Sellers before turning the weapon on himself.
The incident has left the Ronks community in shock, as residents grapple with the loss of two lives in such a violent manner. Ann Sellers, who was known for her free-spirited nature, enjoyed camping and fishing. She worked at Fishers Homestyle Salads in Lancaster and was a beloved member of the community.
Tributes have begun pouring in on social media. Val Burrell, a longtime friend of Sellers, shared a heartfelt message on Facebook, stating, "This earth will not be the same without you. We have known each other for pretty much our entire life, had our differences, but would still be there in a time of need if a call was sent out. You will be missed. Your boys will most definitely be taken care of here on earth by many who love them all. Love you, your one and only Noony."
Vanessa Mabry also expressed her sorrow, posting, "A rough couple of months for you. So sorry to all involved here in this tragedy, as a community, and also for the people who this personally has impacted."
