Tragic Motorcycle Accident Claims the Life of 29-Year-Old Kyle Kotzen in Clarksville

Clarksville, Tennessee – A fatal crash on Clarksville Pike on Friday afternoon has tragically claimed the life of 29-year-old Kyle Kotzen, a resident of Clarksville. The accident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. when Kotzen’s motorcycle collided with an Isuzu pickup truck driven by 76-year-old Larry James.

According to Metro Nashville Police, the incident happened as James attempted to make a left turn into his driveway from the westbound lane of Clarksville Pike. Kotzen, who was traveling eastbound, collided with the truck while cresting a slight hill along the roadway. Eyewitnesses report that James was turning at a slow pace when the collision occurred.

Although no signs of impairment were noted at the scene, police have identified James’s failure to yield as a potential cause of the accident. Investigators are still assessing Kotzen’s speed at the time of the crash, with findings to be reviewed by the District Attorney’s Office for any possible legal actions.

The Clarksville community is mourning the loss of Kotzen, whose death highlights the risks posed by roadways with limited visibility. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to be released by Metro Nashville Police in the coming days.
