Tulsa Community Rallies to Honor Vannessa Rain Smith with a Memorial Headstone

Tulsa, Oklahoma – The community of Tulsa is coming together to honor the memory of Vannessa Rain Smith, who passed away on August 14, 2024, after a courageous battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma. Born on June 5, 2001, in Tulsa, Vannessa was known for her unwavering strength and kindness throughout her life.

To pay tribute to Vannessa’s life, her family and friends have initiated a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for a beautiful headstone. The fundraiser, organized by her husband Ethan Smith, aims to reach a goal of $4,000, with $650 already raised through eight generous donations.

One of the supporters, Kayleigh East, shared her thoughts on Facebook, urging others to contribute, “Please help us get a headstone for Nessa because her birth giver decided not to. Any penny helps, please and thank you.”

The fundraiser has received heartfelt contributions from individuals who knew Vannessa. Notable donations include $300 from Slade Towne, $150 from Rebekah White, and $50 from Cody Tiger, among others.

Vannessa’s memory continues to inspire those who knew her, and the community’s support is a testament to the impact she had on everyone around her. The campaign organizers express deep gratitude for the ongoing contributions and encourage anyone who can to donate or share the message to help reach their goal.

The funds raised will go directly toward ensuring that Vannessa Rain Smith’s final resting place is marked with a tribute befitting her life and legacy.
