British Columbia, Canada – The family of Matthew Wallace Kiss, a cherished son of Matthew and Debbie Seddon, has made a heartfelt plea for help in locating him, three years after his disappearance. Matthew, who left his home and flew to British Columbia, has been out of contact since shortly after his arrival.
Debbie Seddon, his mother, took to social media to share the family’s distress and appeal for assistance. In her post, Debbie recounted how Matthew kept in touch for a few months after moving to British Columbia but then suddenly stopped, which was highly uncharacteristic of him. Despite their efforts, the family has received little support from authorities due to the lack of recent sightings of Matthew, leaving them desperate for any news.
Debbie’s post reads, "Today is the day to hope, today is the day to post. Our son left home three years ago and flew out west to B.C. He kept very basic contact for a few months and then simply stopped. We have been looking since he left, have had no help from police as nobody has ‘had eyes on him’ since he landed in Vancouver (he may be in Victoria). He is an adult and so they have put it off as he is on his journey, living his life – which very well may be. However, the complete loss of contact after a few months of texting is extremely out of character."
The emotional post continues with a call to action: "So now after doing what I can alone, I am spreading the word. Please if you know anyone in BC or Alberta, pass along his picture. Ask if they can share it in their local groups. Reach out through church and community networks, family and friends."
The post has garnered significant attention on Facebook, with numerous friends and well-wishers sharing their support. Shona White commented, "Is this your son Debbie?" while Fiona McAllister expressed her sorrow, "I am so sorry Deb. I have shared and I hope you get results from your plea for information." Another commenter, Barbara Brannen, suggested, "Have you thought of hiring a private investigator?"
The community has rallied around the Seddon family, spreading the word and offering prayers. Debbie’s primary concern remains knowing that her son is alive and safe. She concludes her post with a poignant plea, "If you have seen him or you know him, PLEASE have him contact his family. We miss him dearly and need to hear from him and know all is well."
The family urges anyone with information about Matthew Wallace Kiss to come forward and help bring him home. As the search continues, the Seddon family remains hopeful that their efforts will lead to a positive outcome.
