Urgent Appeal for Missing Thomas Murray, 62, from Kilkenny – Public Assistance Sought in Search Effort

Kilkenny, Ireland – Authorities and family members are seeking the public’s help to locate Thomas Murray, a 62-year-old man who has been missing from Kilkenny city since the afternoon of Friday, August 16, 2024. The last sighting of Thomas was reported at approximately 5:30 p.m. in Knocktopher, Co. Kilkenny.

Thomas Murray is described as being about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a heavy build. He has short grey hair, a grey beard, and blue eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a navy zip-up hoodie, navy tracksuit pants, and black shoes. It is believed that Thomas may have traveled to Waterford.

The Gardaí, along with Thomas’ family, have expressed their growing concern for his well-being. They are urging anyone who might have information about his whereabouts to contact Thomastown Garda Station at 056 7754150, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

In response to the ongoing search, several individuals have taken to social media to share their concerns and hopes for Thomas’s safe return. Kathleen Bennett posted on Facebook, "Hope he is found safe and well."

Authorities continue to appeal to the community for assistance in locating Thomas, as the search efforts intensify.
