Urgent Search for Lydia Sheppard, Gila River Indian Community Member Missing Since June

The Gila River Police Department is urgently seeking the public’s help in locating Lydia Sheppard, a 51-year-old member of the Gila River Indian Community. Lydia was last seen along Riggs Road on the night of June 21, 2024, at approximately 10:00 PM. Despite ongoing efforts, she remains missing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Lydia Sheppard is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing around 160 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a long sleeve black shirt and black sweats. Unfortunately, no photo was provided at the time of the report.

The Gila River Police Department has limited who can comment on their Facebook post regarding this case, emphasizing the seriousness and sensitivity of the situation. Anyone with information about Lydia Sheppard’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Gila River Police Department immediately at (520) 562-4511 or to text information to 911.
