Urgent Search Underway for Missing 14-Year-Old Trinity Van Tuinen in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs, CO – The Colorado Springs Police Department is urgently seeking the public’s help in locating 14-year-old Trinity Van Tuinen, who has been missing since shortly before midnight on August 9, 2024. Trinity was last seen in the Nevada/Fillmore area of Colorado Springs after visiting a friend’s house just a few doors away from her home but never returned.

Her family is deeply concerned for her safety, fearing she may be in danger. At the time of her disappearance, Trinity was believed to be wearing a black dress, black boots, and a red and black flannel shirt.

The AWARE Foundation, along with several local news outlets, has amplified the call for information regarding Trinity’s whereabouts. The case number associated with her disappearance is 2024-01098466.

Community members have expressed their concern and support on social media. Chris Fromai, who lives in the area, noted, “This is my area. She lives close to a major interstate known for child trafficking. Prayers.”

Others, including Judy Seyfried, Barbara Barbara, Gladys M Spreeman, and Shavonda Gales, have all posted prayers for Trinity’s safe return. Vicky Dedon, another concerned individual, shared, “Shared with prayers in Louisiana!”

The Colorado Springs Police Department encourages anyone with information to come forward and contact them at 719-444-7000. The community’s support and vigilance are crucial in ensuring Trinity’s safe return home.
