Urgent Search Underway for Missing 15-Year-Old Hind Ouchmik Last Seen in Newcastle City Centre

Newcastle, UK – Northumbria Police have launched an urgent search for 15-year-old Hind Ouchmik, who was last seen in Newcastle city centre early yesterday morning. Hind was spotted leaving the Premier Inn on Newgate Street at approximately 1:20 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024.

Shortly after leaving the hotel, she was seen meeting with a male outside The Gate, a nearby entertainment complex. The two were observed walking together in the direction of Rye Hill, leading police to believe that Hind may now be in the Benwell area.

Northumbria Police have been conducting extensive searches in the region to locate Hind. They are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in finding her. Anyone with details on Hind’s whereabouts is urged to contact the police immediately.

The community has responded with an outpouring of concern and support. Numerous people have taken to Facebook to share their hopes for Hind’s safe return.

Jennet Maggiorino wrote, "Pray she’s found soon & safe. Northumbria Police please update if she’s been found."

Laura Collins shared, "Shared to Missing persons U.K and Beyond."

Cheryl Walker expressed her concerns, saying, "Hoping she’s found safe and well. Shared Gateshead."

William Mittler added a thoughtful comment, "My hope is when she is found the situation is fully investigated before they are returned. Not saying it is the case, but often teens are fleeing abuse. Hopefully just rebellion and not abduction or feeling there is no answer but to run."

Other concerned individuals, including Wendy Wills, Kath Morris, and Cindy Laybourn, have also shared similar sentiments, hoping for Hind’s safe and swift return.

Northumbria Police continue to urge anyone who may have seen Hind or knows where she is to get in touch via their direct messaging service, live chat, or by quoting reference NP-20240823-1041.

The community’s thoughts remain with Hind and her family as the search continues.
