Urgent Search Underway for Missing Mountain View Resident Lesley Earl Sutterfield; Community Rallies in Support

Mountain View, Arkansas – The Stone County Sheriff’s Office is urgently seeking assistance from the public in locating 55-year-old Lesley Earl Sutterfield, who has been missing since early Thursday morning, August 15, 2024. Lesley Earl Sutterfield, a resident of Iron Mountain Road in Mountain View, Arkansas, was last seen at his home around 3:30 AM after a phone call with his daughter. He was reported missing later that morning, prompting an immediate search.

Earl, a white male standing approximately 6’2” and weighing 162 lbs, has red hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a t-shirt of an unknown color, and twisted X cowboy boots. Despite being on foot, Earl did not have his phone with him, but he is believed to be carrying necessary medications. Notably, Earl does not suffer from any known medical conditions such as Dementia or Alzheimer’s.

The search effort, which began shortly after Earl was reported missing, has involved the Stone County Sheriff’s Office, K-9 tracking units, multiple fire departments, and drone surveillance. Despite extensive ground and aerial searches, Earl’s whereabouts remain unknown.

Community members have shown an outpouring of concern and support on social media. Kami Turley posted an update on Facebook stating, “UPDATE – He has NOT been located. They will have specialized teams here tonight. We will have volunteers again in the morning at 10 AM! SEARCH AND RESCUE. I will continue to post updates. AS SOON AS he is found, it will be posted on this page.”

Other community members, like Billy Lyons and Laura Henderson, have also shared their prayers for Earl’s safe return. Tammy Robertson expressed her concern with a heartfelt, “Oh my!! Prayers he is found safe,” while Jennifer Lynch-Crowder simply posted, “Praying.”

Sheriff Brandon Long has urged anyone with information about Earl’s disappearance to contact the Stone County Sheriff’s Office immediately. The search continues as the community holds onto hope for Earl’s safe return.
